Lower Little Truckee Campground at California 89, Sierraville, California.

After a beautiful 5 hour drive from San Francisco we arrived at the campground at around sunset.
Sadly we were met with a closed gate instead of a cosy spot.
Obviously we were pretty surprised to see a sign at the gate stating the campground was closed for the season as we did not receive notification that our reservation was cancelled.

I would suggest not to reserve a spot here (unless maybe in the summer time) because apparently whoever runs this campground prefers to screw people over instead of spending 5 minutes notifying recreation.gov when the campground is unexpectedly closed for the season.
